COMPASS teams have been busy in September with Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and Quality Assurance Testing (QAT) for processes related to Release 2, continuing to develop systems and training for future releases, and dealing with the impact of Hurricane Irma.
We encourage you to revisit our August COMPASS in Progress article for details on specific areas and what is coming up in Release 2 on Nov. 6, 2017, including moving the Course Catalog (Student Records area), Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) Loads (Financial Aid area), and Transfer Credit Evaluation (Admissions area). Training for Release 2 outside the core offices is needed only for staff who evaluate student transfer data. More information on the new student transfer credit articulation process was presented in roadshows earlier this month, and the PowerPoint is available on the COMPASS website in the Multimedia section by navigating to Student Information System/Admissions/Transfer Credit Evaluation Presentation. Training for student transfer credit evaluators will be available in mid-October.
We remind you that our website offers detailed information on the project and its elements, as well as archived articles in the News and Profiles section. To ensure you always receive the most recent information, make sure you are subscribed to COMPASS Update. You can also request a personalized presentation for your college, unit or area via our Presentation Request Form. While presentations are not training, they can allow staff in your area to focus on aspects of upcoming releases with the greatest impact to them and have their questions and concerns addressed personally by COMPASS subject matter experts.
